Cal-Fire has suspended all burn permits (for outdoor residential burning) in Monterey and San Benito counties. That’s because of the early start to this year’s fire season. The suspension went into effect today.
People are encouraged to create Defensible Space around their homes and other structures. As part of that, people are asked to clear all dead (and dying) vegetation for 100 feet around all structures.
