A Salinas man, who pleaded “no contest” to a Felony charge of domestic violence, has been sentenced to 5 years in prison. Jacob Gomez punched his girlfriend in the face (breaking her jaw) when she said she wanted to end their relationship and started putting his belongings outside.
Gomez’s plea counts as a strike under California’s “Three Strikes Law”.
