A run-over firework caused some consternation this morning in Santa Cruz. At about 10:10 a.m., someone reported that there was a red m-80 type thing with a fuse in the middle of the street. When the device near the intersection of Encinal Street and Sylvannia Avenue was checked-out it was determined to not be a threat…..just a dead firework.
