A 26 year-old former U.C. – Santa Cruz student has been convicted of using an app to sell drugs to people on, and off, campus. Soquel resident Matthew Hutchings was sentenced this week by a federal judge. When a search warrant w as served at his home law enforcement officers found a variety of contraband items including: 3 firearms, rifle magazines, ammunition, 17-thousand dollars in cash, 32 pounds of Psilocybin Mushrooms, about 1 pound of Crystal MDMA, a little over a pound of L-S-D, just under half a pound of suspected Ketamine, more than 8 pounds of Honey Oil, and about 60 pounds of Marijuana.
When they searched a storage unit the found concentrated cannabis, L.S.D., liquid Valium, and a short barreled rifle with high capacity magazines, and ballistic vests.
