A dam in the San Vincente Redwoods (near davenport) is now scheduled to be removed . The removal has been in the plans for a while because Mill Creek Dam has caused environmental issues. Previously, a davenport drinking water supply line ran across the Mill Creek Dam, but last August’s CZU Lightning Complex Fire, which burned most of the 8,500-acre San Vicente Forest, also melted that pipeline. The damage means it’s easier to remove the Mill Creek Dam.
