A property located at 600 East Franklin Street in Monterey could become a homeless shelter with up to 35 beds.
That after Community Human Services and their board of directors approved such an acquisition.
The property is currently home to the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and was built in the 1930s.
This future shelter will need an estimated $1 to $1.5 million for completion and is expected to open in the Summer of 2023.
