On Saturday night , Hollister Police received numerous calls about a “man down” in a vehicle near San Benito High School.
While police were on their way to the vehicle reported, it was found to have left the area and collided with a curb.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle, stopping it at 4th Street near Westside Boulevard.
The driver was found to be heavily intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Official s with Hollister Police thank the residents who reported the erroneous driver as getting him out of the driver’s seat was a “potential disaster averted”.
