A 71 year-old Salinas dentist has been sentenced to 5 years in prison because he violated his probation. Gary Klugman was placed on Felony Probation last May (for having been convicted of having hundreds of images of Child Pornography on his computer, and an assault weapon in his possession). This past October, several switch-blade knives were found in Klugman’s home, and 2 more were found in his vehicle.
The judge said Klugman had had plenty of time to comply with the rules of his probation, and so she ‘had no expectation he would voluntarily comply in the future’.
