A lawsuit filed last week against Amazon, that included complaints of potentially misleading price listings on its website, has been settled. Amazon agreed to pay $2 million in penalties to Santa Cruz, Alameda, Santa Clara, Yolo, San Diego, and Riverside counties. The e-commerce giant’s use of reference pricing in their on-line ads is what led to this lawsuit. Along with the monetary penalties, the stipulated judgment reached Wednesday, requires Amazon to make revisions to its pricing disclosures.
