Governor Gavin Newsom announced today that vaccine eligibility will be expanded to anyone over 50 years-old starting April 1st, and anyone over the age of 16 starting April 15th. That’s because he expects that the state will receive 2.5 million doses a week starting in the first half of the month, and 3 million a week in the second half of the month. Newsom said underserved communities will remain in the target groups for inoculations….as will people in specific zipcodes.
