CORRECTION: There are now 2 choices. 1.) Her replacement can be appointed. 2.) A stand-alone Special Election (which could cost $70,000 or more) can be held.
A San Lorenzo Valley Water District director has resigned from her post after just 3 months of doing the job. Tina Marie To, who says her focus is a ‘passion for all things water and environment’ cited other personal commitments (such as law school and her family) as the reason she needs to resign. There are now 3 options to replace her on the board of directors.
Her replacement can be appointed, a stand-alone special election (which would cost around 70-thousand dollars) can be held, or the position can be placed on the next general election….which is in 2022.
SLVWD’s next board meeting is slated to be held via Zoom starting at 6:30 p-m on Thursday April 1 at 6:30 p.m. The link for the meeting can be found on the district’s website at www.slvwd.com.
