Last week, over 1,000 teachers in Monterey County were able to get vaccinated as school districts announce a schedule to reopen.
Monterey Peninsula Unified School District anticipates bringing select students back in the second week of April, while Salinas Union High School District anticipates April 19th being the return date for 8th and 12th graders only.
Plans to reopen Salinas City Elementary School are still pending approval.
An MPUSD board meeting scheduled for Tuesday will reveal the in-person teaching and COVID-19 Safety plans.
