Barbara livingston, also known as “Mrs. Carmel” has passed away. She was reportedly passionate about all things Carmel…..becoming (over the years) familiar to almost every Carmel city council member, planning commissioner, and many others involved with city infrastructure. She was also the founding president of the Friends Of Carmel Forest, and involved with the Carmel Residents Association. Livingston’s family moved to Carmel in 1936, when she was just 8 years-old. She attended Sunset Elementary School and Carmel High School, and graduated from Stanford University in 1950. She is survived by her 2 sons, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
