Watsonville-based Joby Aviation expects to “go public” soon. Part of that will be Joby Aviation merging with reinvent technology partners. Joby Aviation is working to create commercial passenger service using electric aircrafts that take-off and land vertically. Joby has also partnered with ride sharing app Uber to share platforming space for arial ridesharing, which they plan to have operational in the U.S. in 2024. The company also plans to start construction on a manufacturing facility at the marina municipal airport, as part of its recent partnership with Toyota.
