Religious groups and community organizations in the Central Valley are putting pressure on elected leaders to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to migrant workers sooner.
Rev. Nelson Rabell, an associate pastor with Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi, and co-founder of A New Lodi, said “”Those who are allowing us to somehow keep moving in the middle of this pandemic because they do the essential work, they need to be vaccinated first.”
His efforts are one of many creating a united front to vaccinate field workers sooner and protect them from COVID-19.
Rabell is urging people to reach out to their local elected officials to encourage the federal government to speed up the process.
