Nearly three months after the C-Z -U lightening fire scorched the San Lorenzo valley… evacuation warnings are now removed. The announcement by Calfire indicates there’s no longer a potential fire threat to property.
Meanwhile… a townhall meeting took place last night focusing on the elevated risk of debris flow following the destructive blaze. Emergency officials warned residents living down slope face increased danger of being in the path of a mudslide.
A county engineer advised s-l-v residents that if they hear debris flow… it’s already too late and early evacuation is key.
