A spokesperson for the Monterey County Elections Department said that their next election update is scheduled to be by the end of the day tomorrow. That’s because of how many vote-by-mail and provisional ballots they still need to count. The spokesperson went on to say that they have prioritized accuracy over speed….so that every vote is counted correctly.
