The final Environmental Impact Report (for a buy-out of Cal-Am) has been approved by the board of Directors for the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District. The next step will be to get the Local Agency Formation Commission’s approval for MPWMD to assume control of the 40-thousand-customer water system. MPWMD also wants to expand to serve 56 additional residents in the Yankee Point and Hidden Hills areas.
