The first round of Pacific Gas and Electric Public Safety Power Shutoffs began on Sunday night, starting with portions of Empire Grade Road near Felton Empire Road.
Communities next to Highway 9 north of Glengarry Road are affected, customers East of Lockhart Gulch Road at Mt Hermon Road in Scotts Valley, neighborhoods next to Highway 17 just north of Granite Creek Road, as well as those within Bonny Doon and the Summit.
While PG&E anticipates restoring electricity by Tuesday afternoon, customers who are affected can visit one of four Community Resource Centers to recharge their devices or access the internet, available daily from 8 AM to 10 PM until power is restored at:
- Michaels Church in Boulder Creek
- Highlands Park in Ben Lomond
- Enterprise Technology Center in Scotts Valley
- Costco in Santa Cruz
