The 124,924 acre Dolan fire remains at 98% containment, however the remaining fire line along the northern perimeter has not been active. Access to this area still remains very difficult due to the steep terrain and lack of roads.
Chipper crews made progress in clearing Nacimiento-Ferguson Road. Fire crews also worked along Arroyo Seco Road mopping up hot spots and working to open roads as quickly as possible.
A Suppression Repair group was established to begin the task of repairing burned areas by clearing ash accumulations in erosion zones, and performing road repair. This crew began work on the 20S05 Road north of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Repairs were also made to fencing at the Merle Ranch today to help contain the remaining livestock.
