A Salinas doctor has been convicted on just 4 misdemeanor charges. Steve Mangar, who once faced nearly 60 felony charges, was convicted of prescribing a Schedule II narcotic in an inappropriate manner. Mangar has surrendered his medical license, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, plus probation. He will be allowed to serve his sentence under “house arrest”.
