An 18-year-old Marina driver died Monday after he crashed into a harvesting machine while driving in heavy fog.
The man was driving on Espinosa Road, near Christensen Road, around 11 p.m. Monday while in extremely foggy conditions and low visibility.
The California Highway Patrol said a truck pulling a lettuce harvesting machine was crossing the road when the driver crashed into it. The 18-year-old’s car went under the harvester.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
