Here’s an update on the Dolan fire in Monterey County…
- Containment has remained at 90% due to elevated temperatures and low humidity. Over 125,000 acres have been burned, and 19 structures have been destroyed.
- Burn scars from past wildfires have reduced spread of the Dolan Fire
- The Fire Department of the City of New York Type 3 team will be joining to assist in firefighting efforts starting tomorrow morning.
- Los Padres National Forest remains closed.
- Nacimiento-Ferguson Road from Highway 1 to Fort Hunter Liggett is closed to all traffic.
Highway 1 in Monterey County remains open in both directions for traffic. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and watch out for fire crews, utility vehicles, and road work involving one-way traffic control at various segments of the coastal highway.
