According to the national weather service in Monterey today’s air quality due to the smoke is actually a little worse than it was yesterday.
Meteorologist Gerry Diaz says it’s a combination of high pressure and the glass fire in wine country that’s keeping the smoke hovering above our area at elevated levels.
Diaz says cooler temps are on tap for tomorrow and that will usher in low pressure… but clear skies are likely not to be seen until early next week.
