A Capitola motorcycle officer sustained minor injuries when he was struck by a DUI driver on Saturday. Shortly before 8 p-m an on-duty Capitola Police Officer was riding a departmental motorcycle on Capitola Road at 49th Avenue, where 29 year old Kolton Matosich made a left turn in front of the police officer, hitting the police officer’s motorcycle. Matosich fled the scene in his car when a passing motorist followed Matosich and facilitated his return to the scene where he was ultimately arrested by CHP for Felony DUI.
