Here’s an update on the Carmel, River, and Dolan fires
As of this morning, …
- The Carmel Fire is 97-percent contained, over 6,900 acres have burned, 70 structures have been destroyed and no new fire growth was observed. Air quality has improved in Monterey County.
- As for the River Fire, it is at 95-percent containment, over 48,000 acres have burned, 4 injuries, and over 30 structures have been destroyed.
- Evacuation orders and warnings related to the Carmel and River fires have been lifted.
- And the Dolan Fire has burned over 28,000 acres, is 25-percent contained.
Road closures remain in effect along South Coast Ridge Road at Nacimiento-Fergusson Road summit remain closed to all traffic. Meanwhile, Los Burros Road, Plasket Road and South Coast Ridge Road are open to residential traffic only.
