In business news… California workers filed the largest amount of unemployment claims in more than a month.
The golden state accounted for one fifth of all the claims filed nationally. Almost eight million California workers have filed first-time unemployment during the period of corona virus shut downs.
In the week that ended august 22, over 209-thousand workers filed for state unemployment…. That’s an increase from over 190-thousand from the week before. It’s the largest one-week jump since July 11th.
