Here’s an update on the SCU Lightning Complex Fires.
- Over 347-thousand acres have been burned.
- Containment is at 10-percent.
- 3 first responder injuries, 2 civilian injuries, no fatalities.
- Over 20,000 structures remain under threat.
Temporary evacuation points include Creekside Middle School in Patterson, Milpitas Library, Ann Sobrato High School Performing Arts Building.
The SCU Lightning Complex Fire consists of three zones: The Deer Zone in Contra Costa County, Calaveras Zone in Alameda, Santa Clara, and Stanislaus Counties, and the Canyon Zone affecting portions of Stanislaus County, San Joaquin County, and Merced Counties.
