Two fires are active in Santa Cruz and Monterey County.
In Santa Cruz County…
- The Warnella Fire near Cement Plant Road and Warnella Road, just east of Davenport. It is 25-Percent contained, and 30 acres have burned.
As for Monterey County…
- The River Fire has burned over 2,800 acres and is 10-percent contained.
Evacuation orders are currently in place for Pine Canyon Road, Parker Road, Laurel Lane, and Trimble Hill Lane.
An Evacuation advisory has been issued for Indian Canyon, Mount Toro Access Road, and San Benancio Road from Troy Lane to Corral De Tierra, which includes Corral del Cielo Road, Lucie Lane, and Covie Lane.
An evacuation center has been established at Buena Vista Middle School.
Four firefighters have been injured while working to quell the River Fire.
