It’s an all women race for the Santa Cruz City Council.
Nine local women will compete in the November third election for four open seats on the council.
Incumbents Sandy Brown and Martine Watkins hope to return to the council. Kayla Kumar, Kelsey Hill, Sonja Brunner, Maria Cardenas, Elizabeth Conlan , Alicia Kuhl and Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson, are tossing their hats in the ring.
