On Sunday, Santa Cruz County officially made it to the state monitoring list for Covid-19 cases following a rise in case numbers.
Currently, there about 130 cases per 100,000 people within Santa Cruz, or 30 more than the required amount to avoid staying off the state monitoring list.
As a result, various indoor operations must halt.
Those indoor operations include hair salons, barbers, nail salons, gyms, and offices deemed non-essential.
The beach, outdoor dining, and retail are slated to remain open at this time.
