HPD Officer Accusations 07.27.2020 0500 js

A petition calling for the termination of employment for a Hollister Police officer has garnered over 20,000 signatures.

The petition was launched after a local resident became aware of HPD Officer Miguel Masso and his past alleged wrongdoings as an Oakland Police officer.

According to the petition, Masso is accused of shooting himself in the foot to frame and justify the fatal shooting of Alan Blueford on May 26, 2012.

In addition, Officer Masso along with three other officers were accused of assaulting a man in his holding cell at the 52nd Precinct station in the Bronx. In that case, a settlement was reached between Masso’s department and the man who was assaulted.
