Evacuation Orders have been issued for all residents on Los Gatos Creek Road…..between Indian Springs, and Union Grade Roads, in the Bingham Springs area west of Coalinga. That’s the area in which more than 500 firefighters are working to contain the 11,000-acre Mineral Fire that is burning near the Fresno-Monterey county line. The wildfire began Monday afternoon near Highway 198, causing the closure of the east-west route between Highways 25 and 33. This wildfire is considered to be 5 percent contained. Due to poor air quality in the area, a “Health Caution” was issued yesterday. Firefighters expect this blaze to continue for several more days, and the smoke from it could impact people in Merced, Madera, And Tulare counties.
