On Sunday morning, the city of Hollister flew the Pride flag in honor of Pride Month.
This is the first time Hollister city hall has taken a symbolic gesture in demonstrating support for the LGBTQ community.
The flag will fly for all of July.
City officials hope to have the flag fly for all of Pride Month next year as well, pending a city council vote at a later date.
