A traffic collision shut down both lanes of Northbound Highway 17 at Granite Creek this morning as emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
The solo vehicle crash took place shortly before 3 AM, and was reportedly a fatality.
The vehicle ignited and started a brush fire that was promptly put out by first responders.
Highway 17 northbound opened up shortly after 5 AM. The cause of collision remains under investigation.
