Back in 1996, 55 percent of California voters approved an amendment to the state constitution, that outlawed preferential treatment based on race. Now (based on worldwide protests over racial injustice), California legislators are considering adding a measure to the ballot, letting voters overturn the ban on Affirmative Action programs.
