A Monterey area man is believed to have been the one who fired numerous rounds in Paso Robles yesterday. A transient was shot in the back of his head and killed, and a San Luis Obispo deputy was seriously wounded (after responding to shots being fired at the building that houses the Paso Robles Police Department). 26 year-old Mason James Lira is still being sought in connection with both shootings.
