Santa Cruz County Supervisors will be meeting at 9 this morning to consider whether to apply for a variance allowing them to reopen dine-in restaurants, shopping malls and schools.
On Wednesday, supervisors called the special meeting to consider the variance today instead of waiting for their regularly scheduled meeting next Tuesday.
If supervisors approve the variance attestation this morning, it will be immediately sent to the state for approval which could come as early as late next week.
