A third suspect has been arrested in connection to a 2017 attempted murder in Watsonville.
23-year-old Armando Rodriguez was taken into custody this morning in Santa Cruz.
Watsonville detectives recently received information linking Rodriguez to the 2017 shooting on Roosevelt Street, where two suspects shot at a man multiple times. The victim eventually recovered from his injuries.
Rodriguez, a known gang member, was the getaway driver who helped the shooters flee the area. The armed suspects, Alejandro Flores and Jacob Hernandez, were arrested within a week of the attempted murder and remain in county jail awaiting trial.
Rodriguez was the only outstanding suspect in this case. He has been booked into the county jail on attempted murder charges.
