The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office today arrested what it says are several people sought in connection with the Tushar Atre murder and kidnapping case. The 50-year-old Atre was kidnapped in the early morning hours of Oct. 1 from his home in Pleasure Point and later found shot to death. Investigators have suspected the kidnapping-murder was a home invasion robbery that went wrong.
The sheriff’s office will hold a news conference this Thursday morning to release details in the case.
