The San Lorenzo Valley Water District is raising concerns regarding sensitive local ecosystems and power line maintenance. In a recent letter to P,G&E the (SLVWD) district requested that prior to any tree removal done for power line and fire safety issues that the water district is contacted. The SLVWD could then collaborate with P,G&E on which trees and vegetation can be removed to provide adequate distancing to insure fire safety and uninterrupted power. The collaboration is meant protect the local ecology as well as protect wildlife, such as the recent return of Salmon to the San Lorenzo River.
