A new, 18-24 month, plan….called S.A.V.E. Lives Santa Cruz County….has been outlined by Santa Cruz County Health Director Mimi Hall. The full S.A.V.E Lives Santa Cruz County Plan contains 4 phases:
- Slowing the virus’ spread,
- Adapting to new normal,
- Vaccinations and therapeutics, and
- Elevating readiness for the future.
The plan would include modifying physical-distancing measures for businesses, schools, and child care. How, or when, those restrictions may be eased is unknown at this time….although some restrictions on low-risk activities such as construction and landscaping could be eased as soon as May 4th when a new shelter-in-place order would take effect.
