Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies may have been intentionally exposed to COVID19. During a routine traffic stop, officers found that the driver, David Solix had a no bail arrest warrant. Solix was ill and continued to cough on deputies while refusing to wear face protection. The suspect was also in possession of a concealed pistol when he was taken into custody. The arresting deputy is being quarantined until he can be tested for the virus.
