It looks as though there will be a new California Condor on the Central Coast soon. The chick, which will be the offspring of Kingpin and Redwood Queen, is said to have started the pipping process. Pipping is when the chick pecks the inside of the shell in the process of breaking out of the shell. Reportedly, with condors, this can take several days.
