Parks and beaches across the state have curbed car culture and remain closed to parked cars in part due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
Superintendent McKenna, with California State Parks reminds the public in adhering to social distancing guidelines, and recommends utilizing local beaches that remain accessible near where they live to exercise as necessary.
Throughout local beaches, he remains optimistic in that people are compliant, and that rangers have been adamant about an informative approach before resorting to administrative action such as citations.
Meanwhile, the following State Parks remain fully closed at this time: Castle Rock, Big Basin Redwoods, Mission State Historic Park within Santa Cruz County.
Further up north, Bean Hollow State Beach, Portola Redwoods State Park, and Butano State Park remain closed as well.
