A Salinas man is in custody after leading police on a car chase in a stolen vehicle. Early Monday a patrol unit attempted a traffic stop near San Merino Way and East Romie Lane. The driver sped off and a chase ensued until the vehicle crashed near Salinas High. The driver, 18-year-old Angel Diaz and a 17-year-old male were taken into custody evading, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and violating the Shelter in Place order. A 3rd suspect remains at large.
