At the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, as well as other state prisons, inmates have begun producing washable cloth masks.
Inmates were originally making prison jumpsuits prior to late March when the California Prison Industry Authority began requesting mask production in lieu of jumpsuits.
Approximately 10-thousand masks per day are being produced statewide as a result of this inmate program.
