Today is Good Friday but the Santa Cruz County Health Division says treat today like any other Friday during the corona virus age.
County health officer Dr. Gail Newel says please do not gather for religious observances today. Instead, remain home and observe the shelter in place order until may 3rd.
Doctor Newel says religious gatherings could in fact set back gains made so far in reducing the number of Covid 19 cases. Many churches are offering virtual masses today in place of a regular church service.
