On Friday morning, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team served a search warrant in the 200 blk of Hillcrest Avenue in the city of Marina. The Sheriff’s Office has been investigating 28-year-old Nhan Phan. During the investigation, it was discovered Phan was selling counterfeit prescription narcotics throughout the Monterey County Peninsula. During the search, Investigators located a clandestine lab where Phan was manufacturing counterfeit prescription pills. Agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency processed the residence and located hundreds of pounds of chemicals compounds along with thousands of pills packaged for distribution. Phan was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on child endangerment and several narcotics related charges.
