Watsonville police yesterday (Tuesday) arrested a man they say was involved in at least three burglaries.
Investigators say the suspect, 48-year-old transient Benjamin Sanchez, was caught on camera breaking into a car dealership twice on Feb. 24th. He reportedly stole hundreds of dollars in tools before returning four hours later and stealing a 5-gallon gas tank.
A week ago, Sanchez is accused of returning to the same area and breaking into a truck and stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of tools.
Detectives found and arrested Sanchez Tuesday. He was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on three counts of felony burglary.
